These original gold buttons are from Gekkoso, a long-established art supply store in Ginza, Tokyo, founded in 1917. They are a reproduction of the gold horn buttons that were attached to the bright red jacket worn by the founder of Gekkoso. Made from solid brass, the color will become more tasteful the longer you use them. The large ones are recommended for use as rubber bands for Traveler's Notebooks, and the small ones as charms for bookmarks.
